Frommer's Review
This interesting center in an old, converted church, is dedicated to the life and story of one of Ireland's great female heroes, Grace O'Malley (Grainne ni Mhaille, 1530-1600). Known as the "Pirate Queen," she led battles against the English and ruled the high seas. Parts of the center also address the Great Famine that killed an estimated 100,000 people in County Mayo.
