It's able to accommodate both sailboats and motor yachts from 10 to 150 feet. Facilities include boat ramps, showers, a laundry room, a pool, boat storage, electricity, water, and a fuel dock.

Fishing trips leave from the marina and the town dock each day for flounder, trout, spot, drum, blues, and rock. To book a headboat or charter, talk with the captains along the waterfront, or call any of the following: Capt. Keith Ward (tel. 800/791-1470 or 410/968-0074; www.crisfield.com/prim), Capt. Charlie Corio (tel. 410/957-2151), or Capt. Larry Laird (tel. 410/968-2545). Charters cost $70 to $120 per person.

Located on the edge of Tangier Sound, Janes Island has beaches, 25 boat slips, and a canoe/boat trail, the only way to see the island portion of the park. In warm weather, the park rents canoes and kayaks. There are 104 campsites, 49 with electricity, and three backcountry sites; they go for $25 to $90 a night. Most are closed in winter, but four modern waterfront cabins can be rented year-round.
