Tucked in the woods of the Savage River State Forest down a winding 1 1/2-mile road, this lodge will take you away from the world. Cellphone reception may be spotty but the scenery is a sure bet. Eighteen individual log cabins with front porches, spacious but simple, combined with an elegant restaurant and plenty of outdoor activities make this a spot you won't want to leave. Pets are welcome in most of the cabins; several are pet-free to accommodate those with allergies.
