One of just a few good youth hostels in Cusco, the Pariwana is favored by students, volunteers, and young backpackers. The setting isn’t exactly some no-frills craphole; rather, it’s a beautiful 16th-century colonial manor house built around a beautiful courtyard just 2 blocks from the Plaza de Armas. The rooms are split between double rooms with bathrooms to standard dorm rooms of several sizes (overall capacity is for 220 people), including dorm rooms for women only. There’s a full bar and restaurant on-site, plus Ping-Pong, pool tables, and all sorts of nightly group activities and excursions. Oh yeah, and breakfast is served until 1pm.
