Frommer's Review
The Golf is a three-star chain hotel and a good choice in Dalat (local Golf I and II are low-end versions). Large rooms are upholstered in purple with gaudy carved-wood details. Some rooms are a bit frayed around the edges. It's worth springing for a deluxe room ($53/£29), a Vietnamese honeymooner favorite, with parquet floors rather than carpet and larger bathrooms with big sunken tubs. The constant stream of Vietnamese wedding parties in and out lends a welcome festive air to the place, and this hotel is at its best when trying to be a little more than it is; blooming bonsais, overstuffed chairs, and a glitzy sheen over the lobby area stand testament. Golf 3 is right in the center of the busy market area but set back far enough from the road that rooms are relatively quiet. Amenities are basic, like a rooftop steam, sauna, and massage area (a little seedy), and the lobby restaurant, which serves a fine breakfast.
