Frommer's Review
If you want value for your money, look no further. It's affordable, and even the lowest-priced rooms are terrific, with high ceilings, fresh paint, comfortable and firm mattresses, marble floors, new furnishings, and nicely tiled bathrooms. Most other places in this category have musty smells and dingy decor, but not the Fortune. The place is spotless, the location is far enough from the center of town for quiet yet close enough for access, and the price is right -- most doubles are $14 to $15; the $25 rooms have two double beds and nice, large bathtubs, and most have balconies. The second-floor restaurant is open and inviting. The small lobby bar has white walls and white plastic chairs and could be airlifted to a museum as a "minimalist installation," but there is nice black-and-white tile throughout to give it a nice, crisp look. The staff members speak little English but are nonetheless quite helpful.
