This small joint, with a wooden-paneled walls facade, offers authentic and tasty Japanese food and is popular among the city's Japanese community. Cold tofu with chicken shred, sprouts, carrot toppings, and special sauce is a nice appetizer to start. Rolled egg with grilled eel is mouthwatering as both the egg and eel is tender and freshly made. Also, try the grilled ox tongue. The special meatballs served with barbecue sauce are the house specialty, but it isn't as tasty as it looks. Menu has photos and English. Ask staff for the daily special menu which is only written in Japanese.
