Frommer's Review
It's sad that most places like this have disappeared across the country. Amazingly, this one, in Dallas since 1912, is still here, blissfully out of place with all the home-goods and high-end restaurants that surround it. An authentic slice of Americana, this old-time soda fountain and lunch counter (and yes, pharmacy) has stood its ground, even as everything in its midst has become an ultrachic bar, restaurant, or home-furnishings store. If you've got a hankering for a grilled pimento cheese sandwich, homemade chicken salad, or a limeade, chocolate milkshake, or root-beer float, this is the place; just grab a bar stool. It's a good spot for breakfast, too. Just don't ask the soda jerk for a latte or other fancy fixin's.
