Getting There -- From Bregenz, visitors should take a southbound 15-minute train to Dornbirn and then board one of the buses to Damüls. Buses depart around six times a day (trip time: 1 1/2 hr.).

To get to Damüls from Innsbruck, you have to take a 2-hour train ride west to Bludenz and then board one of the nine daily buses that depart for the 90-minute ride to Damüls.

Damüls is 60km (37 miles) southeast of Bregenz, and a long 698km (434 miles) west of Vienna. To get to Damüls by car from Bezau, drive southeast along Route 200 until you come to the junction with Route 193, and head southwest to Damüls.

Visitor Information -- The tourist office (tel. 05510/6200) is in Kirchdorf, at the edge of the village center. It's open year-round Monday through Friday from 8:30am to noon and 1:30 to 6:30pm; in winter it's also open Saturday 10am to noon and 4 to 6pm, Sunday 10am to noon.
