Frommer's Review
The pretty Park may be small, but its aspirations are high. A member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, it fancies itself a boutique hotel, but with 224 rooms, it's a tad big for the category. That said, the accommodations, while not particularly spacious, do a good job of differentiating themselves from the look-alike luxury hotel rooms found elsewhere in town. Shades of yellow and orange create a warm ambience. Although the bathrooms are small, they feature tubs and elegant chrome fittings. Because of the curved shape of the hotel, guest rooms vary in size: The largest are near the elevators and at the corners of each floor -- try to reserve no. 209, 309 or 409, or 211, 311, or 411. More expensive deluxe rooms occupy two separate floors of the "Residence" and are even more aesthetically pleasing, with smart furniture, in-room VCD (Video Compact Disc) players and Internet access, remote-controlled curtains, a bedside electronic console, and wonderful spring mattresses. Bathrooms have separate walk-in showers and Jacuzzi jets in the tub. For indulgences, there's a full spa; and Agni, the new bar designed by London's Conran & Partners, is worth popping into, not least for its funky decor. This is probably our favorite hotel in its price range.
