One street below Delphi's main street, the 42-room Acropole has one of the quietest locations and best views in town over private houses, gardens, and the olive groves that stretch beneath Delphi to the sea. The Acropole stays open year-round and is owned and managed by the helpful and charming Kourelis family. If the Acropole is full, the staff can usually find you a room at one of their other Delphi hotels, both on the main street: the slightly more modest and less expensive Parnassos (tel. 22650/83-675; www.delphi.com.gr) and the very appealing Fedriades (tel. 22650/82-370; www.fedriades.com), which the Kourelis family purchased, renovated, and reopened in 2008. A 10% discount at all three is usually available to Frommer's readers. Check about special deals including a dinner plan at the excellent family-run Epikouros restaurant.
