Reinvented for the 21st century with contemporary design and a green bent, the Queen Anne has a sustainably-minded philosophy, using local ingredients in the breakfasts and striving towards zero-waste. Rooms are in the 1879 Pierce-Tabor House and the 1886 Roberts house next door. Each of the four suites in the latter is designed by a local artist, adding some contemporary zing that meshes well with the Victorian vibe. But my favorite is the Aspen Room, with a queen aspen-wood bed and a striking mural of turning aspen trees from the floor to the crux of the Victorian turret above.
