Since the 1970s, the Renaissance Center has served as General Motors' corporate headquarters, and the building recalls its automotive history in a ground-floor classic car museum. The Marriott is popular with business travelers, but leisure guests love the downtown location; its People Mover station; proximity to the Joe Louis, Comerica Park, and Ford Field stadiums; and frequent leisure package deals. The hotel's Wintergarden -- a glass atrium meeting and retail center -- is just the spot for casual dining, shopping, and riverfront views. Book an upper-floor room for great views of the Detroit River and Windsor.
