Planning a Trip

Getting There

The RER commuter express rail network (Line A) stops within walking distance of the park. Board the RER in Paris at Charles-de-Gaulle-Etoile, Châtelet-Les Halles, or Nation. Get off at Line A's last stop, Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy, 45 minutes from central Paris. The round-trip fare is 14€ or 6.70€ one-way. Trains run daily, every 10 to 20 minutes from 5:30am to midnight.

Shuttle buses connect Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports with each hotel in the resort. Buses depart the airports every 30 to 45 minutes. One-way transport to the park from either airport is 14€ for adults, 12€ for children 3 to 11.

If you're driving, take A4 east from Paris and get off at exit 14, DISNEYLAND PARIS. Parking begins at 8€ per day, but is free if you stay at one of the park hotels. A series of moving sidewalks speeds up pedestrian transit from parking areas to the park entrance.

Visitor Information

All the hotels we recommend offer general information on the theme park. For details and reservations at any of its hotels, contact the Disneyland Paris Guest Relations Office, located in City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. (tel. 01-60-30-60-53 in English, or 08-25-30-60-30 in French; www.disneylandparis.com). For information on Disneyland Paris and specific details on the many other attractions and monuments in the Ile de France and the rest of the country, contact the Maison du Tourisme, Disney Village (B.P. 77705), Marne-la-Vallée (tel. 01-60-43-33-33).

Admission -- Admission varies depending on the season. In peak season, a 1-day park ticket (for either the main park or Walt Disney Studios) costs 54€ for adults, 49€ for children 3 to 12, and is free for children 2 and younger; a 2-day park-hopper ticket is 113€ for adults, 102€ for kids; and a 3-day park-hopper ticket is 140€ for adults, 126€ for kids. See the official Disneyland website (www.disneylandparis.com) for ticket specials, especially in low season. Peak season is from mid-June to mid-September as well as Halloween, Christmas and Easter weeks. Entrance to Disney Village is free, though there's usually a cover charge at the dance clubs.

Hours -- Hours vary throughout the year, but most frequently they are 10am to 7pm. Be warned that autumn and winter hours vary the most; it depends on the weather and national holidays. It's a good idea to phone ahead if you're contemplating a visit at this time.

Fast Pass Those Long Lines -- Disneyland Paris has instituted a program that's done well at the other parks. With the Fast Pass system, visitors reserve a 1-hour time block at various rides, by printing a fast pass from the machine at the entrance to the attraction. Within that block, the wait is usually no more than 8 minutes.
