Head to the far West for the best hotel bargains at the resort. These two Old West-style lodgings stand side-by-side near a re-creation of Texas's Rio Grande. The Cheyenne consists of 14 two-story buildings along Desperado Street; the desert-themed Santa Fe encompasses four "nature trails" winding among 42 adobe-style pueblos. The Cheyenne is a favorite among families, offering a double bed and bunk beds. Children have an array of activities, including a play area in a log cabin with a lookout tower and a section where you can explore the "ruins" of an ancient Anasazi village. The only disadvantage is the absence of a pool.
More recently constructed, the nearby Kyriad Hotel, a government-rated two-star hotel designed for families that evokes the aesthetics and layout of a French country inn. Whenever the Cheyenne and the Santa Fe are full, Disney usually directs the overflow to the Kyriad.
