Frommer's Review
The Anchorage, established in 1971, is at Castle Comfort, .8km (1/2 mile) south of Roseau. For the active traveler, there is no better choice, as scuba diving, whale-watching, hiking, fishing, and bird-watching are emphasized. The Armour family provides small rooms with balconies overlooking a pool. The best open onto a view of the Caribbean and contain two double beds. The others are more standard, each with comfortable twins beds or one double. Bathrooms are adequate, with showers and decent shelf space. Although it's at the shore, there's little or no sandy beach available, so guests spend their days around the pool. However, the hotel has its own jetty, you can swim off the pebble beach, and there's a squash court.
The hotel's French and Caribbean cuisine is simple, with an emphasis on fresh fish and vegetables. A West Indian band plays music once a week for dancing.
