Frommer's Review
This inn is the best in Dorking, offering stylish living in a rural town. At the foot of beautiful Box Hill, the hotel has many historical associations. Keats completed "Endymion" here in 1817; Wordsworth and Robert Louis Stevenson also visited the hotel. You get the best of both the old and the new, including a tithe barn (ca. 1600). All the guest rooms are refurbished, and bathrooms are compact with tub/shower combinations but little shelf space. The grounds include a flowered patio and fountain that are particularly enjoyable in summer.
Facilities:
Restaurant; bar; heated outdoor pool; room service; laundry service; dry cleaning; all nonsmoking rooms
