Attractions

Your best view of the famous white cliffs is when arriving at Dover by ferry or hovercraft from Calais. Otherwise, walk out to the end of the town's Prince of Wales pier, the largest of the town's western docks. From there, the cliffs loom above you. Or drive 8km (5 miles) east to the pebble-covered beaches of the fishing hamlet of Deal. A local fisher may take you on an informal boat ride.
