Dover's most consistently reliable hotel is this interconnected row of town houses built to overlook the English Channel in the 1830s. After World War I, the premises were transformed into a hotel, and in 1994 it was completely refurbished. It offers a seafront balcony, a glass-enclosed front veranda, and tranquil rooms. Ranging from small to spacious, many rooms offer uninterrupted views of the coast of France. The hotel lies close to the eastern and western docks and the Hoverport for travel to and from France and Belgium.
