Frommer's Review
Collins Barracks is a splendidly restored, early-18th-century military building, but only worth visiting if you're a fan of the decorative arts, as it's been converted into part of the Irish National Museum. Until the acquisition of this vast space, only a fraction of the National Museum's collection could be displayed, but that is changing, and more and more treasures find their way here. Most notable among the collection is the display of Irish silver and furniture. It is a prime site for touring exhibitions, so consult the Event Guide for details.
