Frommer's Review
It may be tucked away on a rather unimpressive back street, but St. Mary's is the heart of the city's Northside. It was built between 1815 and 1825 in Greek Revival Doric style. The exterior portico is modeled on the Temple of Theseus in Athens, with six Doric columns, while the Renaissance-style interior is patterned after the Church of Saint-Philippe du Roule of Paris. The church is noted for its awe-inspiring Palestrina Choir, which sings a Latin Mass every Sunday at 11am.
