Frommer's Review
This charming, rambling, eccentric old hotel makes up in warmth and personality for what it lacks in modernity, though now that it's a Best Western property, who knows what will happen? The public areas have a pleasantly cluttered, Victorian atmosphere enhanced by an impressive collection of original Irish art. Floral fabrics and busy carpet patterns are everywhere, and guest rooms look a bit battered these days, but they have nice historical touches, including high ceilings and carved cornices. The atmospheric Library Bar is a real find -- a low-key haven for a cup of tea or a pint and a bit of calm.
Facilities:
Restaurant (Irish/Continental); lounge; bar; room service; nonsmoking rooms
