Although this hotel was constructed around the core of an 18th-century farm building, few if any hints of its age are visible. In the 1960s, it was Dundee's first disco, before a local entrepreneur transformed it into a tearoom. Much enlarged and modernized, it's now a small hotel lying 1.6km (1 mile) from the center; its functional guest rooms have small shower-only bathrooms. The pub and restaurant serve moderately priced dinners nightly.
