This perennially popular cocktail bar/restaurant with atmospheric interiors and exteriors (recently overhauled) has withstood the onslaught of the cocktail crowd's fickle tastes to establish itself as the timeless taste-beacon of the city's decadenzia. Join the madding crowd on Salon Wednesdays (all cocktails are R12/$1.50 from 5:30-6:30pm) for live jazz piano and DJs who play a soulful selection of old-school cool; other good nights are Friday and Saturday.
