Nightlife
Much of Durham's nightlife revolves around its university students. When school is in session, the Hogs Head, 58 Saddler St. (tel. 01913/869550), is a popular traditional English-style pub. It's open Thursday to Saturday 11am to 1am and Sunday to Wednesday 11am until midnight. Coach and Eight, Bridge House, North Road (tel. 01913/860056), has disco Thursday to Sunday nights and is open Monday to Thursday 11am to 11pm, Friday and Saturday 11am to 1:30pm, and Sunday 11am to 10:30pm.
