Frommer's Review
One of Edinburgh's most stylish hotels, the Bonham is actually three connected West End town houses that functioned in the 19th century as a nursing home and then more recently as dorms for the university. In 1998, all that changed when a team of entrepreneurs poured millions of pounds into its refurbishment, pumped up the design, and outfitted each high-ceilinged guest room in a hip blend of old and new. Perhaps the jewel in the crown of the Townhouse Group of hotels in Edinburgh (which also includes The Edinburgh Residence, Howard, and Channings), the Bonham's rooms have an individual theme and plush upholsteries. Bathrooms are state of the art, with expensive toiletries. The Restaurant at the Bonham provides elegant, yet modern, dining rooms. In addition to the standard rates, mid- and off-season special rates that include breakfast are available for two people staying at least 2 nights.
