Located across from the Carlton, this is one of the brightest and most stylish hotels to open in Edinburgh in the last 10 years. Its name honors the newspaper that was published in this building for nearly a century. Units include state-of-the-art bathrooms and some offer such extras as two-way service closets, which means your laundry can be picked up virtually unnoticed. The two-floor penthouse suite is in a category of its own, with a private elevator and balcony with barbecue.
