Unique Village Resort

Located on a steep rise above Eleuthera's Atlantic coast, this complex is the creative statement of a Palmetto Point businessman who also owns the local hardware store (Unique Hardware). Built in 1992, the property offers accommodations in several configurations, including conventional single or double rooms, a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette, and two-bedroom villas with full kitchens. A flight of wooden steps brings you to the beach, where a reef breaks the Atlantic surf, creating calm waters on this sandy cove. There's a bar and restaurant on the grounds, but few other luxuries. Though there aren't any on-site sailing, scuba, or tennis amenities, the staff can direct you to other facilities that lie within a reasonable drive (you'll probably want a car here).
