A government-sponsored investment scheme has helped local craftsmen set up a market in the hamlet of Horcón 10km (6 miles) past Pisco Elqui. They offer a wide range of goods from herbs, honey, and jams to musical instruments and crafts made of quartz, metals, and wood. It's open January and February daily from 12:30 to 8:30pm, and during the rest of the year Tuesday through Friday from 12:30 to 6:30pm, Saturday and Sunday 12:30 to 8pm. In Pisco Elqui you can also find several small handicraft shops in Calle O’Higgins and Calle Centenario.
