Frommer's Review
The Rincón Vallero has some of the best suites and junior suites in El Valle, but it also has kennel-like double rooms that are not much value, probably because the hotel complex has been adding units like patchwork without maintaining quality. It's altogether a funky but friendly place, with a kids' play area, ponds, and tiny streams that meander through the property, and ceramic toadstools and other decor that make the complex feel a little like a fairyland. The low-slung building has ground-floor rooms only, with separate cabinlike units in the back, behind their popular restaurant. The suites are large enough to feel like a spacious one-bedroom apartment, especially room no. 1, which like the other suites has sloping, bamboo-inlaid ceilings and interesting sunken showers tiled entirely in chipped rock and fitted with a skylight. Doubles are cramped, with small bathrooms, and they don't feature the quality craftsmanship found in the suites.
