Planning a Trip

Getting There -- Ely is a major railway junction served by express trains to Cambridge. Service is frequent from London's Kings Cross. For schedules and information, call tel. 0845/748-4950 or visit www.nationalrail.co.uk.

Stagecoach buses run frequently between Cambridge and Ely. Call tel. 01223/423578 for schedules and information.

If you're driving from Cambridge, take the A10 north.

Visitor Information -- The Tourist Information Centre is at Oliver Cromwell's House, 29 St. Mary's St. (tel. 01353/662062; www.ely.org.uk); it's open April through October daily 10am to 5:30pm, and November to March Sunday to Friday 11am to 4pm, Saturday 10am to 5pm.
