Getting There

Ely is a major railway junction served by express trains to Cambridge. Service is frequent from London's Kings Cross. For schedules and information, call tel. 0845/748-4950 or visit www.nationalrail.co.uk.

Stagecoach buses run frequently between Cambridge and Ely. Call tel. 01223/423578 for schedules and information.

If you're driving from Cambridge, take the A10 north.

Visitor Information

The Tourist Information Centre is at Oliver Cromwell's House, 29 St. Mary's St. (tel. 01353/662062; www.ely.org.uk); it's open April through October daily 10am to 5:30pm, and November to March Monday to Friday 11am to 4pm, Saturday 10am to 5pm, and Sunday 11:15am to 4pm.
