Frommer's Review
Right in the center of town, this hotel is a former 14th-century coaching inn whose ground-floor areas, including the lounge and bars, were completely refurbished in the '90s. In the shadow of the cathedral, this hotel offers renovated bedrooms furnished traditionally but with modern comfort. Each contains a good English bed, usually king-size or twin. Bathrooms offer adequate shelf space and tub/shower combinations. In the 1400s, this place was known as the "Holy Lambe," a stopping-off spot for wayfarers, often pilgrims, passing through East Anglia. Rather standard English meals are served.
