Hotel Vila Galé Ericeira

Finally, a hotel that brings a bit of luxury to the center of town. Overlooking the beaches and the waters of the Atlantic, Hotel Vila Galé Ericeira is the westernmost hotel in Europe, and is rated four stars by the government. An older structure was completely renovated and made both stylish and up-to-date in this reincarnation, everything resting under a glistening green tiled roof. The typical Portuguese glazed tiles have been used effectively throughout the building, both to adorn the walls and to cover the floors. Bedrooms are midsize to spacious and are tastefully and comfortably furnished. The magnet in summer is the alfresco bar extending like the prow of a ship toward the sea.
