Frommer's Review
One of the most luxurious retreats in this part of the Costa del Sol, this modern resort hotel allows you to enjoy a lush, elegant lifestyle. Between the main coastal route and the beach, the Kempinski borrowed heavily from nearby Morocco to create this oasis of charm and grace with hanging gardens adding a dramatic touch. A member of the Leading Hotels of the World, the property opens onto beautifully landscaped and luxuriant palm-studded gardens fronting the ocean. Guest rooms are airy and spacious, with balconies or private terraces overlooking the sea. Many expats who live in the area flock here for the Sunday afternoon jazz brunch, the most elaborate on the western part of the Costa del Sol. Top European chefs turn out carefully crafted regional specialties and well-executed international dishes.
Facilities:
4 restaurants; 3 bars; 3 pools (1 indoor); outdoor unlit tennis court; fitness center; gym; spa; sauna; salon; room service; babysitting; laundry service; dry cleaning; nonsmoking rooms

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
