Although this lushly landscaped low-rise hotel sits on an enviable location on the banks of the Willamette River, the rates are aimed at those with expense accounts, not at vacationers. However, if you can get any sort of substantial discount, this might be a good choice. The hotel is only a few minutes' drive from downtown and the university and is adjacent to Eugene's largest shopping mall. All the rooms are large and have a balcony or patio, but the riverside rooms have the best views. Sweetwater's Restaurant has a long wall of glass overlooking the river and serves primarily Northwest cuisine.
