This country house originated in the 12th century, but it has been altered and changed beyond recognition over the years. The latest refurbishment occurred in 2007 when the rooms were painted in neutral tones of mauve, taupe, and cream. The exterior is a symmetrical and severely dignified building with a Regency feel. Often hosting business travelers, it's also a tourist favorite, especially in summer. The bedrooms, in a range of styles and sizes, are well decorated and nicely equipped. The best rooms are the executive accommodations in the main house, though most bedrooms are in a more sterile modern addition. Two units are large enough to accommodate families.
