Tapas are the featured attraction here, but the kitchen isn't doctrinaire about recipes, which range all over the Mediterranean and even down to South America for inspiration. Two or three tapas per person make a meal, and sharing is inevitable. Start, perhaps, with charcuteria, either an assortment of Spanish cheeses, which changes daily, or of cured meats and sausages, usually including nutty-tasting Serrano ham. The day's additional delectables might be chorizo with sweet and sour figs, garlic shrimp, or piquillo peppers stuffed with potato-cod brandade. Other options include costillas de puerco -- spare ribs with anise-orange glace, and paella for two to six people. The patio is open year-round. Sampler tapas assortments for two or three people cost $48 or $60 (Sun-Thurs).
