Frommer's Review
A light touch does wonders with such immaculately fresh ingredients as striped bass, halibut, crab, skate, and clams. Presentations are inviting, yet without the appearance of excessive pushing and prodding in the kitchen. The decor consists of murals depicting cherubim, aged-looking tiles, and a bar facing the wood-burning oven, used to bake good designer pizzas and a customer favorite, roasted chicken. Among other possibilities are the open seafood ravioli and pan-roasted sea bass with saffron and couscous. An express lunch in the street-level bar costs only $10, and the midday menu upstairs is far less expensive than dinner.
