An inn that fits most images of a romantic country getaway, this one also works for businesspeople, as it offers Wi-Fi, voice mail, and express checkout. For longer stays, there are two rooms with kitchenettes. A couple of rooms have fireplaces, and all have four-poster beds. The 1849 house stands on a property blessed with giant shade trees. Take breakfast on the porch in good weather; the continental version is included, but hot a la carte dishes are extra. Snacks are available until 9pm. Bernard's (below), just across the driveway, serves lunch and dinner.
