This is the most popular dinner show in Fes. Located just off Ahmed Mekouar Square, this palace/restaurant provides a show, complete with flashing lights, on a large carpeted courtyard surrounded by exquisite zellij; hand-carved stucco; intricate, hand-painted tazouakt ceilings; and brightly colored Iraqi glass. Ten acts perform throughout the evening, including a four-piece Andalusian house band, a belly dancer, and a mock traditional wedding between two lucky diners. This scene is not for everyone, but can be fun if you're into it. Six menus offer five courses of various Moroccan classics, all delightfully presented, delicious, and large -- you'll be doing well to eat everything that's put in front of you. The service can at times be a little gruff, but with so many meals and courses to serve, it's perhaps understandable.
