Trattoria le Cave di Maiano

This former farmhouse is at Maiano, a 15-minute ride east from the heart of Florence and just a short distance south of Fiesole. The rustically decorated family-run trattoria is a garden restaurant, with stone tables and large sheltering trees. We highly recommend the antipasto and homemade green tortellini. For a main course, there's golden grilled chicken or savory herb-flavored roast lamb. For side dishes, we suggest fried polenta, Tuscan beans, and fried potatoes. As a final treat, the waiter will bring you homemade ice cream with fresh raspberries.
