This quirky, somewhat bohemian joint is also known as the Locanda degli Artisti. Each of its rooms is brightly decorated, and most in the more characterful, original area of the hotel feature an antique piece or colorfully painted wall to add ambience. Occasional floorboards are artfully distressed (by both time and design), and pictures or wall mirrors have wistfully weathered frames. In short, each is exactly the kind of room you could imagine for a struggling artist to lay his head at night. Refitted not long ago, 8 newer rooms have a totally different feel, with laminate flooring, white furniture, and shiny, new travertine bathrooms.
