Frommer's Review
After 10pm, you'll enter this modest downtown hotel through its entrance on the rue Victor-Hugo; during daylight hours, you'll use a larger entrance that opens onto the rue de la Liberté, and climb a short flight of terra-cotta steps to reach the simple lobby. Don't expect grandeur; this hotel's snob appeal is practically nonexistent. The hotel was renovated, and its bedrooms are tidy and clean. Most units contain comfortable twin beds, with small, pure-white, shower-only bathrooms. The overall impression is neat but simple and unpretentious. The inn is the oldest continuously operating hotel on Martinique, originally built in the 1940s with quasi-Art Deco hints that are now slightly dowdy. There's a small restaurant on-site and several eateries are within a short walk.
