The decor here may remind you of a glass-sided cube, thanks to soaring ceilings and a glittery, metallic look that evokes the waiting room of an international airport. The room's focal point is a shimmering circular bar that's illuminated with pin lights and spotlights, perhaps a high-tech version of a pagan temple. Many of the office workers in this intensely commercial neighborhood have been here at least once for lunch, and to a lesser extent, dinner. Well-prepared menu items include club sandwiches, tortellini stuffed with ricotta and spinach, saddle of lamb with Provençal vegetables, and a wide selection of grilled Angus steaks.

Bull + Bear also serves as a singles bar and a late-night dance spot. In the basement, there's a dance floor that's usually mobbed, especially on Friday and Saturday, with a young, hip, after-work crowd. A live DJ plays house, techno, and trance music; the cover charge is 8€ ($13). Drinks start at 5€ ($8) each during happy hour, which is every day from 4 to 7pm.
