Am Berg ReviewDeep down in Sachsenhausen, this is a great location for those seeking offbeat accommodations in a romantic old villa with towers and turrets. It's a glimpse of how life used to be before the bombs of World War II rained down on Frankfurt. Only a 5-minute ride from the city center, it stands in a leafy residential section near the Südbahnhof (the south train station). Each of the midsize to spacious bedrooms has an individual decor, but all are well maintained, inviting, and comfortable. The hotel itself dates from 1900, and many of the rooms rest under high ceilings. The smallest rooms are on the second and third floors.
