This gay and lesbian restaurant and bar, which also attracts a lot of liberal-minded straight couples, is named for the gay city supervisor, Harvey Milk, of San Francisco. He was gunned down, as depicted in the Sean Penn film Milk. In spite of the grim namesake, the atmosphere is fun loving, in a pre-World War II setting (it escaped the bombing raids). In summer, tables overflow into an outdoor garden filled with revelers and beer drinkers. Main courses cost 9€ to 19€.
