There are some offbeat shopping possibilities in Fribourg, especially along Spalenberg and Schneidergasse, with its collections of jewelry and antiques. The winner here is Seven Sisters, Spalenberg 38 (tel. 026/262-09-80; www.sevensisters.ch), which sells one-of-a-kind items ranging from iPod cases made of felt to totes created from boat sails. But most of the items, as the owner so accurately puts it, "are not for everyday use."
