In the green countryside and surrounded by beautiful gardens, the Inn of the 4 Winds is both a family-run pension and what has been called "a secondary residence for artists on the run." It's the personality inn of the area; each room is individually designed with a wide array of kooky styles, ranging from rustic baroque to Babylone (a red-and-white-tiled interior with a raised bed). In one unit, the bathtub is on rails, allowing a budding Juliet to take a moonlit bath on her balcony while waiting for Romeo. The cheapest accommodations are in a four-bedded dormitory room. For such a small B&B, the outdoor pool and a first-rate restaurant serving market-fresh ingredients come as a pleasant surprise.
