Hotel Galvez ReviewGalveston's historic grand hotel, the Galvez has been thoroughly renovated to make the guest rooms more comfortable and to correct the mistakes of previous renovations. Damages from Ike were not serious. Rooms are spacious, well furnished (most with two double beds), and conservatively decorated. The hotel overlooks the sea wall and one of the municipal beaches. It is also on the trolley line leading to the Strand district. Rates often run less than what is listed below.
