Penn Alps Restaurant & Craft Shop

Remember those old-fashioned restaurants with simple, homemade fare served by the kindest of waitresses? Come here for the hearty breakfasts or substantial lunch and dinner fare. There are buffets every Friday and Saturday night, as well as a Saturday breakfast buffet and Saturday and Sunday brunch. Dishes include roast pork and sauerkraut, fried chicken, steaks, and seafood. Lighter items include sandwiches, soups, salads, and burgers, plus children's and seniors' menus. You can buy fresh-baked breads or pies here, or handmade goodies from the crafts shop. The restaurant is across the parking lot from the Spruce Forest Artisan Village and an easy walk to the Casselman River Bridge. An 1818 stagecoach inn makes up part of the building. Look for the double fireplace, which has warmed visitors for nearly 2 centuries.
